"This game will grow on you even if you're not a soccer fan! Easier controls can attract even the novice!"

Gameplay: The gameplay is excellent! Instead of clubs, there are 199 international teams that you can choose from, and they all handle differently. Also, the players themselves handle much more realistically because you have to use their actual momentum to turn, kick the ball, or just sprint, which is a really nice touch! There are plenty of game modes to choose from as well, just not as many as FIFA 10 though. However, there is a quick game mode called "kick-off" where you can just play a quick match with any of the 199 international teams, there is, of course, the "2010 FIFA World Cup" mode where you can choose your favorite squad to play with and go through all stages of the World Cup, from the group stages all the way to the finals! Another game mode is called "Captain Your Country" where you can create a player from scratch, use an existing player already on the game, or you can import one from the "Be a Pro" mode from FIFA 10! In this mode you take control of a player so that you can feel what it is like to be in the action! However, this mode is plagued with inconsistent feedback in the messages, especially right before a big match! Another problem is with the online play because there will be a lot of lag, which ruins the timing of your shots, and ruins the timing of your tackles, which is dissapointing!

Presentation: 2010 FIFA World Cups' presentation is a very unique one, from the buzzing sound of the vuvuzelas, to the team selection globe! At the main menu for example, there is a globe that you use to select your team, which works very well! Each one of the 10 licensed stadiums that you can choose from are beautifully designed. The coaches, players, and crowd members are very well done. The commentary team of Clive Tyldesley and Andy Townsend to a very good job of calling the action andthey some how manage to keep up with the fast pace of the game! Occasionally, they do repeat their lines, but that is a minor complaint that doesn't take away from the game at all! The only real complaint I have of the presentation is that EA Sports should have made the vuvuzelas a lot louder than they are!

The Verdict: But don't get me wrong, 2010 FIFA World Cup: South Africa is a major step over FIFA 10! The commentary is better, the presentation is much cleaner, and the gameplay is superb over its predecessor!
