Games are judged based on, but not limited to, the criteria below:

  • • Gameplay
  • • Aesthetic Value
  • • Replayability
Gameplay
Gameplay covers a broad spectrum of characteristics that, in total, determine how fun the game is to play. Points of comparison can include, but are not limited to, controls, difficulty, level design, character design, and specific in-game actions and objectives.

Aesthetic Value
Aesthetic value addresses the technical and artistic proficiency of the game's graphics and sound in comparison to its competition. Any hardware limitations, if relevant, are always taken into consideration.

Replayability
Replayability deals with the game's longevity. A game with high replayability will be able to sustain the user's interest and participation over the course of time.
