The 2005 Call for Entries is now closed. Please check out the finalists and winners.
Entries are only accepted for wireless games and they must be submitted online using our online entry form. An entry is considered valid when it has officially been received by CNET Networks Games & Entertainment. Entrants will receive an e-mail acknowledgement when an entry is complete.
CNET Networks Games & Entertainment reserves the right to both recategorize entries and create new categories, if deemed appropriate, as entries are submitted.
Any wireless game available to the general public for purchase through a wireless operator, a wireless games portal, or an established retail channel (regardless of country of origin) during the calendar year 2005 is eligible for entry. We define a wireless game as entertainment software that runs on a portable device intended primarily for communication or another function other than gaming. To be considered for entry, the device must be able to communicate wirelessly with one or more other devices.
Examples of legitimate devices include the LG VX7000, the Nokia N-Gage, the Tapwave Zodiac, and a Palm with Wi-Fi capability. Games for all these devices are legitimate contenders for awards. As with all other aspects of the awards, judges' decisions on the legitimacy of a particular device/game combination are final.
Additionally, we can only consider games that have an English-language version.
Games produced prior to 2005 are eligible, provided they were made available in the marketplace during calendar year 2005.
Previous Mobie winners are ineligible for entry.
