Great title with great gameplay

User Rating: 8.7 | 1943: The Battle of Valhalla NES
1943 always will have a place in my heart for keeping me into games, it did this with it's stunning gameplay and quick action. As it starts you off with barely anything to fight with and you end up ripping through enemy lines you will see that this game has what it takes to be the arcade shooter. Gameplay: The gameplay is what really shines in this game as you do barrel rolls and fight off enemy squadrons it gives you a feeling of nostalgia. The power ups in this game help to that fact and make the game even better. Although at times this game can come to a crawl in the beggining levels but soon enough that will come to pass as this game will shine through and make a great title as soon as you hit that first boss fight. Graphics: The graphics are superb for this era and make the game even more enjoyable with mulitple enemy aircraft and places to go. The only thing bad about the graphics was the repeating backgrounds that didn't contribute to the sense of flying through the skies. Sound: The sound can be described as mediocre as it had some good tunes but essentially very annoying repetitive tracks. This in total brough me out of the game although the sound from the planes was great enough it still wasn't enough. Value: This game has a great value as it makes you immersed into the world of a WW2 fighter and makes a great game to play on downtime. Tilt: I essentially loved this game and I am hoping to keep it strong in my life as I play it every once in a while. This game still holds a place in my heart
