    Not as good as 1942.

Not as good as 1942, the earlier rendition of the same game. Pretty good game for the classic NES. Fun to play, and you can get cheats for this game to play for a long time. Once you build up your weapons, it's pretty ... Read Full Review

The battle of Midway has begun.

Like 1942, 1943 is a scrolling screen shooter with hardly any noticeable differences. This time, you’re flying off the coast of the Midway Islands in a throw-down battle with enemy fighters and other planes. The gr... Read Full Review

    Addictive old school fun

An improved version of 1942, this game is just as addictive and fun. You play as this old 1943 bomber plane with a variety of short & wide range bullets as you play out the great WWII sea battles. A never ending sw... Read Full Review

    Great title with great gameplay

1943 always will have a place in my heart for keeping me into games, it did this with it's stunning gameplay and quick action. As it starts you off with barely anything to fight with and you end up ripping through enemy ... Read Full Review

    old school addicting fun

Wow, what a game. This one's great for when you have some time to kill. Unfortunately, my cartridge has the habit of glitching out on the second island, so I haven't really been able to get that far, but for the 20 min... Read Full Review

Old-school classic that is far above it's predecessor. Worth playing again.

The predecessor to this game was 1942, one of the first scrolling shooters of the nintendo era. That gave this game a lot to live up to, but it did indeed. This sequel did not change the winning formula that made 194... Read Full Review

Improvement on the previous game in the series. 1943 just takes the formula and makes a good game out of it.

1942, ohh yeah! They were into the whole sequel thing back then. Just like 1942, you scroll up and blast everything in your path with your old style plane. This game just built on and refined the formula. I remember ... Read Full Review

A world war with winged weapons.

1943 is the sequel to 1942. Just as World War II was a sequel to World War I...or as Look Who's talking too, is the sequel to Look Who's talking. Only we're dealing with cool games here. Not horrific battles or crappy mo... Read Full Review
