If you're 30 years old or higher, you should remember 1942 as an arcade that you spent thousands of coins until the end of the game. The NES version is very simple on the graphics, but the challenge remains the same. During the WWII you must fly your plane trought pacific air space, trying to shot those zero airplanes and even bigger enemies. The game has 30 phases, and is very difficult to see the ending credits (By the way disappointing). For NES freaks it's a good game, and it's the base for all modern side scrolling shooting games (grandson of defender, from Atari).

1942, duhn da duhn! Just seeing the box art makes me all teary eyed. This game built on or either built the overhead shooter genre. Basically you scroll up and blast everything in your path with your old style plane. ... Read Full Review
