No spoken text. Contols are point and click only, no moving the periscope with the mouse, etc. Graphics are fair at best. No damage conrol. Don't expect water detail, lighting effects, post process, or anyhting modern. Graphocs seem like silent hunter 2 but with higher resolution and smoother textures (thanks to 3d graphics). No outside-the-boat view. During my first mission I surfaced to see how the AI reacts: my sub was sunk immediately and I never heard the shells fired. Part of every command sim is your crew saying 'yes sir' to your commands. None in this game. Good side: only WWI sim out there and it was only $20.

    A wasted opportunity, even on a budget.

    It would have been interesting to find out how those old WW1 torpedoes worked since the early german tactics at Skaggerak depended so much on them. Unfortunately, Shells of Fury won't show us. Choppy graphics far b... Read Full Review
