Ive loved the 18 wheels of steel series ever since I bought across america. It was then followed by an amazing sequal called pedal to the metal which took across america and improved everything you could possible want. When I heared about convoy comming up I just couldent wait for it but after getting my hands on it I have realised its just a piece if rubbish by 18 Wheels of steel standards. For a start the cockpits are not even animated no more. There are no speedos just a steering wheel. Thats why I loved 18 WOS becuase it was so detailed. Now as you can probably guess you would need to travel long distances for come cargos. But that was ok for previous games becuase you could just pull over somewhere save your game and come back exactly where you left off. This time though it has been taken out YOU CANNOT SAVE YOUR GAME WHILE HAULING A CARGO. You can detatch your trailer and save your game but when you come back it has simply vanished so your better off staying with small distance jobs and earling small amounts of cash at a time. The next problem seems completely baffling as to why it is in the game. Mini games. Now your probably thinking that these games invole avoiding cones or beating another driver to a cargo. Well no these games have you driving different vehicles. Like for example theres one mini game where you go around driving a bus picking up passengers. Now why would a truck driver be giving up his duties just to help some idiot who can do his job properly. Its really confusing as to what this game is supposed to based on, Am I supposed to be the good samartian? I really dont recomend you buy this game but go ahead and play the trial just dont be sucked into thinking theres more to it than in the trial. You sould stick with the previous games or go and by the new game haulin which is worthy or an 18 Wheels of steel title.
