Basically, this cartridge turns your DS into an e-book reader with 100 classic works of fiction at your fingertips. The interface is slick, intuitive, and simple to use - for example, just swipe across the screen to turn the page - and the text is crisp and easy to read. Rounding out the package are short essays about each book along with a brief biography of each author, complete with photograph (if available).

The software loads quickly, and each book has up to three bookmarks that can be manually placed as well as an automatic bookmark that automatically saves the page you're on when you "close a book" and return to the title screen; the next time you start the program it asks if you want to return to the last page you were reading, which is handy.

With 100 books from a wide variety of authors and genres and the ability to download more for free through Nintendo Wi-Fi, this is one DS cartridge that you won't be finishing in a weekend. I gave it a 10 because it does exactly what it sets out to do, and it does it well with no significant flaws. And you might just find that reading is as addictive as any game.
