The World is Not Enough Hands-On
The N64 version of The World is Not Enough attempts to fill the same niche that Perfect Dark is trying to fill. Who will come out on top?
For Nintendo 64 owners, James Bond is all about one thing. It's not wooing ladies with his superspy charm. It's not his witty exchanges with supervillains. It's his right arm, and how many different guns it can hold. Luckily, EA is bringing Bond back to what made him such a hit on the N64 - first-person shooting.
TWINE works roughly the same as GoldenEye did, with extremely similar control and the same type of mission-based gameplay. Graphically, the game looks quite a bit cleaner than GoldenEye did - actually, it even looks a bit smoother than Perfect Dark.
The multiplayer seems pretty solid, with a nice, steady frame rate. The different weapons are pretty cool. We saw a grenade launcher, a crossbow, and of course, the standard collection of pistols and machine guns. The multiplayer mode will also let you play against bots, but the bot options, including how many you can play against at once, hasn't been determined.
