Nightfire has some nice situations, but doesn't quite master technique.

One of the better 007 games, Nightfire has some bold and cinematic scenarios in it, but fails to make use of many aspects of stealth. As a secret agent, it is expected to infiltrate instead of being an overpowered tank. In many of the few essential stealth areas, players can easily get by with just running up to guards and punching them to knock them out.
Nightfire has a classic James Bond style storyline. An important man, suspected of illegal plans to take over the world, but is untouchable by the government who instead decide to send in a double 0 agent to investigate. The player must blast his way through Drake's many goons to finally reach him. The player then makes Drake bite the dust, and stops the nuclear missiles just in time to save the world and score the girl. Trust me, this game is filled with all those fun clichés that you all so love.
Gameplay-wise, Nightfire doesn't do too well. With a lack of many weapons and a lack of character images, it seems that you're killing the same guy over and over again with the same weapons. On the lighter side, Nightfire makes use of many cool gadgets on areas scattered throughout the game.
Nightfire doesn't have much of a climax. The final boss, Drake, is a bit of a failure. He has horrible aim with a weapon that barely does any damage. All he really does is try to dodge the shots you fire from your phaser-like laser gun. In the end, it would be more difficult to fight a minion as the boss than that Drake.
