.hack//G.U. is as impressive if not more then volume one. The graphics are vivid and clean cut. Volume two is a must have sequel for all .hack//fans. In .hack//G.U. volume two, there are even more new features added than in the first volume. This makes the game new and exciting and non-repetitive. A new feature is the new card game crimson vs. crimson! In this game you must make a card deck that beats all others, as well keeping up with trends. One of the most amusing things about this game is collecting all of the cards, because on them, they feature characters from the past .hack// games and television shows. Another new feature is the bike races. The bike this time around is Upgradeable and much faster. You can upgrade by winning races and receiving bikes parts as prizes. These bike races are similar to the grunty races in the past .hack//games which was something that I enjoyed a lot as well as being able to run into the cute little purple chim chims. An additional feature of this game is receiving the first episode of the anime .hack//roots which gives insight and background information on the characters and events leading up to the games.

There are new controls in volume two such as combo’s and attacks such as divine awakening which is stunning and fun to use. It’s all about timing. With these you are able to once again participate in the arena battles and try these new combo’s and skills on competitors. In this game you also get new characters added to you team. Some of these characters include new epitaph users, who you also get to fight in an avatar battle which felt easier this time around. Many of these new characters play big play big roles in the story line. The interface is still easily accessible and allows you to go on your in-game desktop and listen to music as well as customize your own wallpaper. You can actually alter the colour of desktop images. Volume two is challenging and very fun and leaves a suspenseful cliffhanger at the end of the game.
