Sony Becomes Official NBA Sponsor
As the NBA Finals rage on, Sony makes a deal with the NBA to become an official sponsor.
Sony Corporation of America has signed a multiyear deal with the National Basketball Association to become an official sponsor. Under the agreement, Sony and the NBA will participate in a broad range of marketing opportunities - spanning all Sony companies, including Sony Pictures and Sony Music, until at least the year 2000.
Under the agreement, Sony can also use the NBA logo and trademarks, including the NBA Playoffs, NBA Finals, and NBA All-Star logos, in itspromotional material and advertising. Additionally, Sony will have access to the NBA's photo archives.
