At the beginning of February, Dune: Part Two arrived in theaters and quickly became the biggest box-office hit of the year to date, with $710 million worldwide. Now, Dune: Part Two is also coming to Max a week from today.

Max has announced that Dune: Part Two will be available to stream on May 21. Both the 2021 and 1984 versions of Dune are also streaming on Max. With Dune: Part Two, director Denis Villeneuve finally achieved the blockbuster box-office success that eluded him earlier his career when helming other modern sci-fi films including Blade Runner 2049 and Arrival. It also solidified the future of the Dune franchise.

In April, Warner Bros. officially gave the sequel, Dune: Messiah, a green light. Villeneuve won't be jumping to the sequel right away, but it's likely that most of the cast from Dune: Part Two will return including Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, Florence Pugh, and Anya Taylor-Joy.

Additionally, Max will premiere a Dune prequel series, Dune: The Sisterhood, later this year. However, that show doesn't currently have a release date.
