With Season of the Deep now live, Destiny 2 has just gotten a new influx of Exotics that you can add to your collection. Each Guardian subclass has gotten a new piece of armor, and this season's new Exotic weapon is the shocking Centrifuse auto rifle. As expected, these new pieces of gear come with a unique look and trait, and when combined with Destiny 2's build-crafting system, there's usually a powerful setup that can be explored to help maximize your Guardian skills and personal playstyle.
For Lightfall, several of these Exotics will be focused on the new Strand subclass. Bungie has only shown off a few of the new Exotics so far, but these new tools look set to provide a powerful boost to Guardian arsenals. As the year goes on, you can expect more Exotics to be made available through the rewards track that accompanies each new season, and if you're ready for a challenge, taking on Raids, Legend Lost Sectors, and dungeons are a good source for acquiring this powerful gear.
One of the Lightfall Exotics has actually been around for several months now, as Bungie offered the auto rifle Quicksilver Storm as a preorder bonus for its expansion. At its base level, that weapon delivers a versatile payload of damage to anything in your path. It can fire off high-impact kinetic rounds, landing successive hits launches a homing mini-rocket, and it can be transformed into a powerful grenade launcher. For those of you who already have the weapon, its Exotic catalyst will be available in Lightfall and adds new Strand effects to its build.
Centrifuse - Arc energy auto rifle
Season 21's Exotic weapon emphasizes being on the move and rewards you with some deadly Arc firepower in exchange. Sprinting, sliding, and firing this weapon builds a temporary electrostatic charge, increasing range and reload speed. Final blows with high charge cause explosions, and maximum charge explosions will blind targets.
Arbor Warden - Titan chest armor
This new Titan chest armor Exotic replaces your grenade ability with Barri-Nade, which spawns your selected Barricade type on the impact location. With the right build, it can devastate enemies and give you a reprieve from battle, especially if you're using Aspects such as Bastion and Drengr's Lash.
Cenotaph Mask - Warlock helmet
Cenotaph Mask might just be one of the best Exotics for PvE activities, as it essentially transforms a Warlock into an ammo supply depo. Damaging a vehicle, boss, or champion with a trace rifle marks them as the target, and when an ally defeats the marked target, this will generate special ammo for yourself and heavy ammo for your allies. As an extra bonus, if you're using a trace rifle, a portion of your equipped magazine will be refilled from reserves.
Triton Vice - Hunter gauntlets
Triton Vice increases glaive reload speed and melee damage when surrounded, making it an excellent choice for anyone who likes using that weapon type. Glaive melee final blows also overflow a round to the magazine, and glaive projectile final blows detonate if the equipped glaive deals damage matching your subclass type.
Final Warning - Energy Sidearm
A Kinetic slot Strand sidearm, Final Warning can mark targets within range and load a burst of bullets. When hip-fired, these rounds will track aggressively toward marked targets, making this a useful weapon for quickly clearing out cannon fodder enemies.
Deterministic Chaos - Void Machine Gun
A Void machine gun with a rhythmic design, every fourth bullet fired becomes a heavy projectile that weakens targets on impact, while every fourth heavy projectile makes targets volatile on impact. For boss encounters, this could significantly weaken a tougher foe, while using it to clear trash mobs can create some devastating explosions.
Winterbite - Stasis Glaive
Exotic glaives are a rarity, but Winterbite slots nicely into that category while providing some tactical firepower. As a Stasis-energy glaive, it can fire a large ball of energy that locks onto nearby targets and freezes them.
Cyrtarachne's Facade - Hunter Helmet
The right piece of armor can make a huge difference in your Guardian build, and with Cyrtarachne's Facade, that Exotic helmet gives Hunters extra protection when grappling and some handy flinch resistance that'll come in handy during PvP activities.
Swarmers - Warlock Leg Armor
Warlocks also get a great armor Exotic in Lightfall, with Swarmers manifesting Strand Threadlings that infest and attack enemies after a tangle has been destroyed.
Abeyant Leap - Titan Leg Armor
For Titans looking to dress to impress on Neomuna, Abeyant Leap looks like a handy set of Exotic leg armor. When using your Barricade subclass ability, it'll add extra armor and spawn two additional seeking projectiles that track targets aggressively and suspend them in midair.
Ballidorse Wrathweavers - Warlock gauntlets
Your Winter's Wrath Shockwave deals increased shatter damage. Allies in range of your Shockwave gain an overshield and increased damage with Stasis weapons.
Speedloader Slacks - Hunter leg armor
Hunters who want to keep their team buffed with positive effects will find plenty of use for these sci-fi western pants. Speedloader Slacks will increase reload speed, handling, and airborne effectiveness for their wielder, plus those effects will be passed to nearby allies. Final blows and additional charges increase the buff strength, and you can have up to five stacks active.
Cadmus Ridge Lancecap - Titan helmet
Titans who specialize in Stasis can use this cozy helmet to amplify their Diamond Lance ability, as each projectile will create Stasis crystals on impact, and even more crystals if they make contact with a boss-type enemy or vehicle. Another bonus is that while you're using your Stasis subclass and you take cover behind a rally barricade, rapid precision hits and final blows with a Stasis weapon will create a Diamond Lance.
Vexcalibur - Void glaive
This secret Exotic doesn't just hit hard with a spread of projectiles, it also has a unique shield system. While it drains more quickly than regular glaive shields, attacking restores it, activates a Void-energy overshield for you, and applies the protection to nearby allies.
