Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Drops More Than $20 Ahead Of Prime Day
Amazon and Walmart are selling Link's latest open-world adventure for only $48.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has dropped back down close to its lowest price ever ahead of Prime Day Round 2. Amazon and Walmart are selling copies of the heralded Nintendo Switch exclusive for only $48 (normally $70). If you're looking for a nice holiday gift, picking up a copy of one of the best games of the year (and best Switch games in general) isn't a bad idea. Tears of the Kingdom released to widespread critical acclaim earlier this year and it earned a rare 10/10 in GameSpot's Tears of the Kingdom review. Critic Steve Watts praised it for its well-realized open world littered with engaging activities and secrets, its wonderfully implemented new abilities, and its memorable story.
"Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is a canvas for your own creativity, a book to write your own stories, a world to create your own legends," he wrote. "It gives you back as much as you put into it, and beckons you to soar, burrow, engineer, solve, adventure, and explore."
It's worth noting that the special-edition Tears of the Kingdom Switch OLED is still in stock at Amazon, so you could play the massive open-world adventure on a thematically appropriate console. You can also grab the paperback edition of the official guidebook for $18.74 or the collector's edition hardcover for $26.85.
For a more ergonomically friendly handheld experience while playing the new Zelda game, check out the new Tears of the Kingdom-themed Split Pad Pro, which just received its first discount.
